The Daytona Beach Amateur Radio Association, DBARA, collaborates with two VEC Organizations. The ARRL VEC and the Laurel VEC. Test candidates are welcome to choose which program better suits their individual needs.
The chief advantage of the ARRL VEC program is that it permits the test candidate to “walk-in” for testing requiring only an FRN number be obtained in advance of the test date. Additionally, the test candidate will be required to pay the $15.00 test fee at the test session regardless of the outcome, pass or fail. It is however strongly suggested to reserve your place in the test session with our VE Liaison prior to arrival at one of our test sessions.

Both programs may lead to free first year of DBARA membership if successful testing leads to the first year of new amateur radio license for the candidate.
