The new ARRL VEC Manual For 2008 is now available right here from the DBARA Download Directory

by Bob Ledford, WA4IDI, Webmaster

The newly revised ARRL Volunteer Examiner (VE) Manual revision for 2008 was released by the ARRL and is now on this web site.  If you are a VE you should download it and keep it on hand as a useful reference.  It is 98 pages long so that is a lot of paper and ink.  You can purchase it from the ARRL Publications Book Store by going to the following link  http://www.arrl.org/arrlvec/vemanual/

If you are interested in becoming a Volunteer Examiner you can go to http://www.arrl.org/arrlvec/become-a-ve.html and find out all the latest criteria. You will still need to get the manual above as a study guide.

Help your self and your club grow participate in the VE program. It was once said that our organization had plenty of VE's but every time we conduct examinations it is a battle to get enough to handle the job correctly and swiftly to get the test taking person in and out in a minimal amount of time.
