I think the expression is "Time to stick a fork in it as it is done!"

by Bob Ledford, WA4IDI, Webmaster for DBARA

For months and months it has been the subject on the minds of many as they struggled to get operators to sign up, food service folks to commit to working and in general everyone interested in participating  in an unknown adventure for the DBARA organization.  After all how many of us have put on more then one 50th anniversary for a ham club? This was my first but it would be cool to be mobile and lucid enough to come to the 100th.

The Friday setup portion came off with a few glitches but overall went well.  The problem of the tower rotator was solved by leaving it on the tower and using it as a thrust bearing.  The substitute rotator turned out to be a long length of yellow rope tied to the closest tree or concrete sitting bench.  Hey, it worked so you can not knock it.

A  Photographic History of the DBARA 50th Anniversary  Day

Tom, K9WLF aka Wolfie taking the first stint on 20 Meter SSB   Bob, you're looking over my shoulder again. Dave, WA1RWO sitting quietly at the CW Station of Frank KB4T where he sat most of the day in fact.
Jeff, AJ4MQ (EX-AJ4MQ (EX-KG4DHZ)) having second thoughts about I could had a V-8!   Steve, WB4OMM thinking about having that V-8!
Steve, WB4OMM Just leave me alone in this wonderful quiet world of PSK     Some  people even pay for a day like this and we got it for free!

Now does this look like Alaska, Maine or Florida?
